Collaborative Project: Marketing for Interactive Media Web Development

This collaborative initiative involved six team members working with our client, Linda and the Durham College marketing team, to create a full-fledged marketing campaign for the Interactive Media Web Development program. This campaign included video storytelling, social media strategy, branding material, and creative assets aimed at future students and industry professionals.

Project Background

The marketing department at Durham College sought to promote the Interactive Media Web Development program in a compelling, authentic, and student-led manner. With a team of six diverse designers and developers, we took on the challenge to showcase the unique value of the program by highlighting real experiences and success stories.

Meet the Faculty Poster

To bring a personal and authentic touch to the campaign, I organized and conducted a professional photoshoot for Professor Raymond Gubala, the lead faculty member of the program. The aim was to capture his approachable personality and leadership role in a way that resonates with future students. I used a Canon DSLR to shoot in a controlled environment with natural and studio lighting setups.

Post-production included careful retouching, color correction, and background refinement in Adobe Photoshop to align with the campaign’s visual identity. The final deliverable was a “Meet the Faculty” social media poster that introduced Professor Gubala to prospective students and humanized the program by showcasing the people behind it.
